Find Your Best Photo Album Sharing Website

Where to upload photo albums? There are many sites nowadays offering you to share your photos. They come up with different amount of storage space, available features and missing features. Some will even want your money, and a few of them would want more than necessary. To narrow your hunting for your best one, there is a very handy tool called Online Photo Resource Guide. The guys from Andromeda Software have been working really hard to compile information about many websites providing photo album sharing. You can search them by specifying some general preferences like amount of storage, ease of sharing and viewing, availability of prints, hosting fees, etc. Moreover, you may specify some extra features, like you can’t stand advertising or want to print posters. The only prerequisite is that you know what you want.

After all the options are clicked, selected and checked, pushing that “Show Me The Sites” button will reveal your candidates, all sorted in a neat table. The output seems to be up to date. Recommended.

Hosted at Fotki.com

“You mean photos, yeah?” Yes, I do - “fotki” is a slang russian word for “photo,” and Fotki.com is another great photo sharing website. In the free membership, you get 10Mb for your photos. “Hmm, 10Mb, 10mb - that’s not that much. I can show you whole bunch of CD’s with my photos! I have Gigabytes of them!” That’s fine, but there is still a way out - you may share only your best of the best. 10 Mb - that’s around 100 jpg photos in the reasonable size for web sharing. One hundred! In all honesty, if you have more than 100 good photos, then you are already a well-know photographer and can afford 30$/year for the Premium membership. Know what? They claim that you will get “unlimited storage space for your photos” then! I’m really curious what the Fotki staff will do if someone takes this literally.

WebShots - Share Your Shots On The Web

I’ve just set up a new category, where we will talk about websites offering online photo sharing. There are many places where you can upload your albums, but it may be a bit time-consuming to hunting for them and try if they meet your expectations. We will focus on the well-established photo sites only, and there must be an option for free membership. One of the largest site of this kind is called WebShots. In the free version, you can upload 240 photos in total, up to 2400x2400 pixels in size. Good!
